I’ve always felt a little bit awkward submitting to groups my stuff. I’ve always felt like I wasn’t good enough. Then a very talented friend of mine, Michele, VertigoZX on DeviantArt, took a photo of me during the 2012 Lucca Comics & Games Event and posted it on his profile [link] . Then he submitted/accepted to submit this photo TO 40 GROUPS. The photo is like around 550 views so far. As usual, people don’t understand the difference between a photographer and his models, but above all never read the f***ing comments (I’m coing to rant about it later, because I think is a signal of superficiality and irrespectfulness, especially towards those who put effort in what they do), but it’s another story.
What struck me is that PEOPLE LIKE MY COSPLAY. А LOT. I mean, I still feel scared of posting my stuff to groups, so I might still rely on friends like Michele, who have a more “clinical”, objective view of my works…
------old I'm rather shocked by how much this photo got around DA in a few days. Vertigo originally posted it here [link] and got 330 views in two days, a ton of favs and adds in group galleries... like, WOW. I'm honoured.
GRAZIE MIK! ---------- PHOTO DESCRIPTION AND CREDITS
Thanks, Mr(s) Smile ! Actually I've been working on the three-pointed head-piece. Tomorrow I'll attend to an event with that headpiece, so let's hope I'll be able to come home with some photos. Then let's see if I've done a good job
Oh captain, crazy scientist. I still <3 his character, and you did a very good job cosplaying him as well, though he is a bit on the odd side ^_^ ~ Don't be afraid to post either. There are those who will be against it, then there are those who will absolutely love it!
Thank you! The same thing you've written here has been said also by the photographer... well, technically he said that Mayuri "goes like hot cakes" and didn't even say a word about the Kurotsuchi-haters
Great job!
