Mayuri by Cesare: Preview #2

With these last photos, I'll give some rest to the Fade to Black version (even though is my favourite and I cry inside at the thought of leaving it for a brief period of time... like, until next year). I've reached a really high level, especially with the last modifications, with the make up and the wig. I feel a bit tired and I want to switch to the more phisically tiring (the crown is heavy and hot as hell), but less "artistically stressing" (if you consider that I do all the makeup by myself for thee long hours), Hueco Mundo version.

I feel that I need some rest with this version, also because I've realized that I've reached peak from which I don't want to fall. I just want to go higher and I need time to... recover and find an even better make-up solution (I really want to switch to aerography)...

So, looking back to my first Mayuri, I can only be proud of what I've done in this year (actually, it'd be a full year on the 17th of June).


And I really want to thank Cesare. I can't even believe a photographer of his level asked me to do a full photoset in his studio, with stage smoke, lights and all that fancy stuff. (You MUST go and visit his personal site [link] and look at his photos, especially the bodypainting works, wich are truly amazing).

I'm really happy.

Il 17 giugno il costume di Fade to Black Mayuri compirebbe un anno. La sera del 7 giugno ho deciso di concludere questo imperfetto arco con questa maschera, e l'ho fatto veramente in bellezza, avendo avuto la possibilità di conoscere ed essere fotografata da un fotografo così in gamba come Cesare. In un anno il mio costume è cambiato veramente tanto e penso che la più grande soddisfazione me l'abbia data la parrucca, che ho lentamente e sempre più radicalmente customizzato fin dalla mia prima orribile apparizione a Paderno (alla quale tra l'altro ho conosciuto Andrea, Pistacchio e Rebecca)… E così penso di potermi fermare, davvero a malincuore (perché questa maschera la amo alla follia), almeno per tre-sei-nove mesi.
In realtà. mi sono resa conto a Torino che questo Mayuri aveva raggiunto il massimo, non la perfezione, ma aveva dato tutto quello che poteva. E ora ha bisogno di riposare per un po'… Per ritornare rinnovato!


Naturalmente col cavolo che Mayuri lo abbandono. Lo sapete che sono stupida, io! C'è in cantiere la Grande corona e mi sono ripromessa, anche come sfida, di fare la versione completa del Maggot's Nest, con tanto di braccia e gambe bianche….

Dunque, durante l'estate lavorerò alla grande corona e tenterò di trovare un nuovo tipo di make-up.

Nel vedere gli splendidi risultati sulle bellissime Jessica e Paoletta (sorvolando il fatto che la manualità del loro make-up artist non ce l'ho, ma mi consola il fatto che devo fare una semplice campitura bianca…), anche ascoltando la pulce che Maurizio mi ha messo nell'orecchio, per ovviare alle crepe, allo sgretolamento e a tutti i casini del mostruoso mischiotto del cerone+amido+aquacolor mi piacerebbe davvero iniziare ad utilizzare l'aerografo (anche in vista di Pris e Jill).

Ho tempo fino al 2014 per reinventarmi seriamente.

Vediamo cosa ne uscirà...
