Human Starscream by Mik

My new human Starscream costume. I kept the old makeup, changed the rest.

I chose to make him a URSS MVD Officer for many reasons. I should explain, but I'm a bit tired now and the story is very very long. The short version

during the Eighties it was very common for cartoons, movies, telefilms etc to have a (not-so) subtle reference to the Cold War and its alliances. You can see in G1 how the good guys are mostly American/Nato/Atlantic Alliance (Optimus = American Flag), whereas the bad guys are naturally from the Eastern Block (Megatron's colour scheme is the URSS infantry and classical military's one) or Nazi countries. I deeply appreciated how in Animated this theme was brought back to life... There are many things to say, but just an example: in the Allspark Almanac (I don't remember which one) you can see Blitzwing (the Imperial German/Nazi) accusing Starscream of Communism (yeah XD )...

Moreover, when you want to give to the common people an idea of evil, power, cunning, danger, ungovernability, mistery, whatever, you play the URSS/Russian card. Look at movies. Most of contemporary action movies are still set in "Russia" (+ former URSS territories). So yeah, have my version of Human Starscream.
